For the installer:
This program is perfect for newcomers to the MOD scene, and experienced MOD'ders alike. In the large text box, paste the entire MOD Installation file. It must be fully compliant with phpBB standards, or else it will not work! If you are unsure whether it is compliant or not, run it here first before running it through EasyTIME.

After pasting the installation file into the box, fill out the required information below. Firstly, connection speed. This is the connection you use to access the internet. If you are unsure whether you are Dial Up, ISDN, or Broadband, first ask yourself, do webpages load slowly, fast, or very fast for you? Generally, if they are slow, you would be on Dial Up, if there are reasonably fast, ISDN, and if they load very fast, Broadband. If you are still unsure, select ISDN, as it will 'cut the difference'.

When filling out the skill level, this all depends on how confident you are when installing MOD's. If you have never installed a MOD before, go for Novice. If you are reasonably confident, select Moderate. If you install MOD's regularly, or have a sound knowledge of PHP and SQL, use the Advanced option.

It is important that you fill out these options, as it helps the program make a justified estimate.

For the MOD Author:
You can use this tool to assist in your MOD making! This program will give you a good estimate as to how long it will take to install your MOD by hand, without having to time it yourself. EasyTIME will give a reasonably accurate estimate, as well as an estimate rounded to the closest official phpBB figures (1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 25, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120 minutes). It provides the second option too, as when submitting the MOD to the phpBB.com MOD Database, those are inbuilt figures that you must select from. You cannot input your own number.

Cmxmods.net suggests using the following steps to ensure an estimate that fits the widest audience:

1. Paste your installation file into the text box.

2. Under the connection option, select ISDN. This is middle of the road. Although dial up and broadband are far more common than ISDN, this will appeal somewhat to both audiences.

3. Under skill level, select moderate. Like with the connection, moderate is the middle of the road option.
